Chapter Membership Information

Membership & Participation Categories in the ACFE-GTA Chapter:

1. Member - Membership Fee $50.00 + 13% HST = $56.50 annually - Open to all Certified Fraud Examiners and all ACFE Associate Members who are in good standing. All CFEs and ACFE Associate Members must join as GTA Chapter Members. Chapter Members are voting members. The Chapter offers discounted pricing for Chapter Members who register for Chapter CPE Training. If a Chapter Members takes *ALL* their required 20 annual CPE credits through the Chapter CPE Training events, the discount for those 20 credits will EXCEED the price of their Chapter membership.  ****PLEASE USE THE *SAME EMAIL ADDRESS* for joining the Chapter AS IS ON YOUR ACFE MEMBERSHIP RECORD.****

2. Affiliate  - Participation Fee $50.00 + 13% HST = $56.50 annually - Open to individuals, including members of the law enforcement community and the academic community who do not have a membership in the ACFE, and who want to learn more about/contribute to the fight against fraud and other financial crime. With respect of the Chapter By-laws & the ONCA  (2010),** Affiliates are not considered "members" of the GTA Chapter, and are non-voting. They are welcome to volunteer on Chapter committees when invited and to attend Chapter CPE Training events at the reduced price for members & affiliates.

3. Student Affiliate - Participation Fee $20.00 + 13% HST = $22.60 annually - Open to current undergraduate and graduate students in a recognized Canadian university, polytechnic institution, or community college program, who are not CFEs or Associate Members of the ACFE. You MAY be a Student Member of the ACFE to be registered in this category. This category does not include individuals who are taking a college or university course while being employed. Such individuals should join the Chapter as Affiliates. Student Affiliates must register using their school e-mail address, which the Chapter will verify. Upon request, the applicant must provide confirmation of admission and professorial contact information, which will be verified. Chapter Student Affiliates are not members of the GTA Chapter, and are non-voting. They are welcome to volunteer on Chapter committees when invited, and to attend Chapter events.  For the 2026 Calendar Year, Chapter Student Affiliates may attend any of the training events at no cost. (This does not include the June Networking Event, which costs $25 for all attendees.)
   
   **In order to qualify for ACFE reduced rates on earning the CFE Credential, students MUST be Student Members of the ACFE...They do not need to be Chapter Student Affiliates to qualify for the reduced rates.

Please Note:

1. The GTA Chapter Fee does not include the annual dues to maintain your ACFE Membership and your CFE Credential, which is paid to the ACFE in Austin, TX.  For more information regarding your international ACFE membership, please visit the ACFE Web site or call the Association at (800) 245-3321.
   
   
2. The Canadian Harmonized Sales Tax (HST - currently 13%) is added to the all Chapter Member, Affiliate, and Student Affiliate fees at check-out.
   
   
3. All fees are paid online using either a valid MasterCard or Visa card only. We do NOT accept American Express. We do NOT keep any payment information on file.
   
   
4. To ensure your Chapter membership remains current, you will receive e-mail reminders with an accompanying invoice that makes it easy to renew. To register for any Chapter CPE Training events, you will need to log-in to this website, and you will receive the Chapter Member Special Pricing.
   
   
5. If you are registered with the ACFE, either as a CFE or as an Associate Member, please...ALWAYS use the SAME EMAIL ADDRESS for your Chapter Membership as you use for your ACFE Membership.
